Our Ingredients

At Wells Made Co. we strive to have minimal ingredients that are sourced locally in Kentucky and surrounding areas. Working in small batches ensures higher quality and requires lots of love and dedication. We do not compromise when it comes to ingredients. We love to offer wholesome food that is clean and simple. Some flavors are packed with protein, potassium, and good fats.

All of the flavors are vegan and no harmful chemicals are added. The maple syrup and sorghum are purchased from Kentucky farmers and are used in Cashew Butter and Buckwheat Granola. A local coffee shop’s expresso beans are used in the Hazelnut Butter.

We are on a mission to sensibly feed the world one healthy spoon at a time.

Our Process

At the start of creating the delicious flavors, we always make sure that every surface, utensil, and the jar is clean.

All the seeds and nuts are roasted first, then ingredients such as figs and dates are chopped by hand. The whole peppercorns are ground with a mortar and pestle for the cashew black pepper butter.

Once everything is roasted, cut, ground, and blended together; the butters are put into jars at an optimal temperature. Lastly, once cooled the labels are placed on the jars and delicious butter is ready for you!

Our Story

Wells Made Co. began as a made-to-order seed butter business out of my home in early 2016. Our mission was to create only seed butters for children without nut allergens. Backed by so many repeat customers and requests for nut butters; we added these in late 2016.

Our Mission To Date: To bring about awareness of how a few simple ingredients can have a positive impact on health and tastebuds. We source some of the ingredients locally as much as possible from farmers and artisans in Louisville, Ky, and the surrounding area. Eating nourishing foods without corn syrup and/or artificial preservatives is beneficial to your health.

Sustainability is also a part of our fabric, so we use only glass jars.
